Where you are Start with
Curious: you want to know what BOB is before you install What is BOB? (30 min)
Set up for you: BOB is installed and you want to use it Quickstart (5 min)
Installing yourself: you are setting BOB up from scratch Before you install, then the agent client in Obsidian
Reading the manual: you want the complete product manual User manual
Using BOB every day: you want to work with it better Using BOB day to day
Learning the ideas: playbooks, skills and how they fit together Playbooks
Calling a skill: how to invoke one in Claude Code, Codex or another agent Invoking skills per agent
Stuck: something does not work Troubleshooting

The usual path

  1. Understand. What is BOB? explains the system and the four layers it is built from. The learning path gives a structured route through the rest.
  2. Install and check. With a set-up-for-you install, the Quickstart confirms that everything works. To install yourself, check your machine with Before you install and follow the install guides; chapter 3 of the manual, Getting started, summarises the steps.
  3. Use and grow. Using BOB day to day covers the everyday patterns. Read the concept pages as you meet the ideas in real work, not all at once.
